How did you get into marketing?
I started with a few paid and unpaid internships and then turned a temporary admin role into a full-time marketing role as I spotted a gap in the team that nobody was able to fill.
What does an average day look like?
Every day is different but generally lots of emails, lots of Zoom meetings and then a little bit of content creation here and there as I am also an influencer.
What advice would you give your 21-year-old self?
You're on the right track, keep going!
What is the one thing you wish you’d known when you started working?
That you have to advocate for yourself as nobody will have your back in the way that you need them to.
What’s your greatest achievement to date?
Building my incredible team.
What do you think is one of the biggest challenges facing the comms/marketing/influencer industry today?
The lack of standardisation in the influencer space is really letting the industry down. We are relying on archaic metrics that haven't evolved with the industry and it's still very much the wild wild west because we're lacking law and order.
Is there a particular campaign that you’ve seen in your career that you didn’t work on but wish you had?
There are so many!
What’s the key skill you think a successful business owner requires?
Hunger. I truly want my business to thrive so I will do anything to ensure it does and that hunger has got us where we are today. When I've been complacent or a little relaxed, I've noticed things don't work as well or quickly as they should!
